About Me

I have been creating beaded art jewelry for over 20 years now and it has been a wonderful adventure. It started with a friend wanting me to make a pair of earrings for her. Everyone at her job wanted a pair too, and the rest is history. My first pieces were hand painted designs on wood. I started adding beads and fell head over heels in love with beadwork.

New but Old designs!

It has been a few or more years since I made these brooches, and I feel like it is time to start making them again.
I love vintage photographs, victorian women, fairy tales, birds, flowers and butterflies.
So that is what I will be using as the focals for these wonderful, fun and colorful pieces.
The first one I made was a picture of my grandmother at the age of 18, born in Sweden, married then traveled to America as a Salvation Army Missinary.
She past away when I was 5 years old, and when I look at her picture it is like looking into a mirror, I look just like her.
Anyway, I have had the joy of creating these for others to enjoy with their loved ones pictures on them, and hope to do it again. When not being worn they can sit on a small easel and be enjoyed as a mini photograph for your dresser or a table top.

  1. Your work is just incredible! I'm sorry I don't have a better word for it. I found you on 1000 Markets first when looking for "vintage Nouveau pendants" via Google. I will keep it short here as I sent you a longer email a little earlier tonight through that site. Took me a while to happen on your blog and other pieces. It is very clear that you have as much passion for your work as you have talent. AND I AM THRILLED TO HAVE FOUND YOUR WORK, and some of the stories behind your inspiration(s).

Inside my studio where all the fun is had. When Jon built this space for me he knew what I wanted more than I did. I had to move out for nine mounths into our bedroom, and it has been worth every second it took.
